The Merrion, one of Dublin’s finest luxury hotels and one of the Leading Hotels of the World is recruiting for a full time Assistant Night Manager to join our professional and friendly Night Team. Centrally located in Dublin within easy reach of public transport, this role will offer you the opportunity to work in a beautiful hotel where the highest of standards are in place and where you have all the tools you need to do your job. The Assistant Night Manager's role includes the following:

  • To promote a helpful and professional image to the guest, and give full co-operation to any guest requiring assistance, with a prompt, caring and helpful attitude.
  • To ensure night audit accounting duties are accurately completed in-line with set standards.
  • To be the Senior manager on duty during the night shift, handling situations as they arise in a capable and competent manner, in line with hotel policies.
  • The responsibility for the security at night of guests, staff and premises.
  • To ensure all guests are welcomed on arrival, checked into The Merrion, and checked-out prior to the early reception shift starting.
  • The control and monitoring of the workload of all night personnel.
  • To ensure a full handover from the late Duty Manger takes place between the start and finish of the day and night shifts, ensuring you are fully aware of late check-ins, VIP rooms, possible early check-outs and Front of House duties.
  • To ensure public areas are well presented to guests ensuring they are clean and tidy at all times.
  • To monitor contract work being carried-out during the night, liaising with the relevant Head of Department.
