Global Product Manager

Working as a Global Product Manager, you will be a key member of the ABB Robotics global product management team, driving increased customer value and profitable business growth through defining a competitive product offering, and managing it through its life cycle phases according to market needs, division strategy and business targets. In this role, you will oversee all steps in the life cycle of products under your responsibility, including development, launch, market development, pricing and profitability. You will identify new market opportunities, space for innovation and drive initiatives accordingly.
Your responsibilities
- Leading product strategy planning and strategic roadmap definition for products under their responsibility
- Identifying and defining target markets, customers, and competitive positioning for ABB current and future offering through market analysis and right segmentation
- Detailing executable roadmaps for existing product enhancements and new product developments according to market and business needs with the right prioritization.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams to execute new product development projects and taking responsibility for product management key deliverables related to NPD process, such as business opportunity assessment and market requirement specification
- Leading definition of launch plan and initiation of related activities for new product and feature introductions
- Defining clear value proposition for sold products and new offering, and working closely with marketing and communication teams to deliver the right messages to the key audiences
- Defining pricing strategies and models for sold products matching the targeted market position and the value product generates to the end customer
- Monitoring KPI’s for financial performance, customer satisfaction and competitiveness of offered portfolio and addressing identified gaps effectively and timely
- Developing product management related processes and tools, including interfaces to other key functions
Your background
- Bachelor of Science or Masters of Science in Engineering
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of work experience in a product management role, technical sales role or similar, experience in automation and/or robotics industry specifically preferred
- Sound knowledge and experience in high payload robots and related applications is a plus
- A collaborative, solution-focused approach, with strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience and skills in leading cross-functional teams without direct authority
- Enthusiasm and interest to understand evolving markets, emerging technologies, and customer needs in broader context
- Demonstrated knowhow and experience on product life cycle management, new product development and commercial launch activities
- Proficient in business English
