Introduction to the role of the team
The Learning Inclusion Service is seeking to appoint a dynamic and driven person to join the Vulnerable Learners Service.
Your role
This CS Officer Elective Home Education and Behaviour role provides the opportunity for the right candidate to join us to support the local authority statutory responsibility for safeguarding in relation children who are electively home educated. With a strong commitment both nationally and locally to ensuring all children and young people receive the best education offer, this role will play a key part in working with electively home educating families and their children and involve working with schools to guide families and school through processes to remain on school rolls or become electively home educated. You will undertake case work including home visits.
Front line
You will have excellent communication skills and be a team player. You will be motivated and a critical thinker with the ability to understand the needs of your customers.
What you will bring to the role
You will need the ability to work to tight and often conflicting deadlines, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to build positive relationships with parents, children, and other agencies and the ability to plan, evaluate and prioritise work with children and families and manage your own workload.
Ability to listen effectively on the phone and in person
