Technician/Senior Technician, Histology – Histology & Pathology Models
We are looking for a highly motivated Technician or Senior Technician with experience and a genuine interest in histological and imaging techniques to join our efforts in developing novel medicines for patients living with CNS disorders in the Department of Histology and Pathology Models.
Your new role – why is this a great opportunity?
This is a great opportunity to join a dedicated Histology team of 2 scientists and 2 laboratory technicians, which is exclusively focused on histology and imaging and where there is a lot of focus on technological development, within our department.

You will become a key part of our Histology team, where your main responsibility will be planning and conducting our histological and imaging workflows, which currently include widefield-, immunofluorescence- and confocal microscopy, immunohistochemistry, in situ hybridization (RNA scope), and autoradiography, mainly on rodent brains. You will be generating critical histological data across several projects in our portfolio.
Your future team
Our department, Histology & Pathology Models, is based at Lundbeck’s R&D headquarters in Valby, Copenhagen, and is comprised of an international team of around 11 members, including scientists, laboratory technicians, and students. We are an established group working in a scientific environment committed to quality pharmacological work. We work in an open and collaborative atmosphere with excellent possibilities to develop technical skills and scientific expertise, with many options for personal development.
We are responsible for all forms of histology, ex vivo imaging and validation of pathological animal models within the Neuroscience organization. Together with the rest of the Neuroscience organization, we represent biological research at Lundbeck and are focused on generating the necessary data and knowledge for advancing our drug discovery projects.
What you bring to the team
You will thrive in this role if you have a laboratory technician education (laborantuddannelse) or equivalent with several years of hands-on experience with planning and conducting histological and imaging experiments in rodents, and you bring a pro-active attitude to your work.
It will also be a plus if you have experience in working with rodent brains, experience with autoradiography or RNAscope, or professional experience within the Pharma or Biotech industry.
